Our mission is simple: More Trees! The Ohio Valley Forestry Fellowship (OVFF) works to increase the size and diversity of our forest canopy through planting trees and distributing seedlings.

OVFF began in 1979 with a group of friends who decided to plant trees on local land that needed to be repurposed. Their camaraderie and love of nature grew into a small, but mighty all volunteer non-profit. In the last 40 years, OVFF members and volunteers have planted 130,000 seedlings in urban centers, roadsides, parks, farmland and communities.

OVFF has assisted farmers in converting marginal farmland and pasture to healthy forest and has also partnered with the Department of Transportation to plant hundreds of tree seedlings on southern Ohio highway interchanges.

Plus, OVFF has prepared and distributed over 370,000 seedlings at annual tree giveaways. We team with schools, libraries and civic organizations to educate children on the value of healthy forests right here in the Ohio Valley.

We encourage
the little ones.

OVFF distributes seedlings to schools, libraries and civic organizations, along with educational materials on proper planting and the value of healthy forests.

Contributions to OVFF
go towards trees rather
than paid positions.
